Jumping In! April Currently

I am officially jumping into the blogging world! Thought I'd link up with Farley on Oh Boy 4th Grade to give you a peek into my life during this Spring Break week!

Listening: I willfully admit that I love Reba and Boy Meets World re-runs. They're great background noise as I'm working!

Loving: Spring Break! Enough said... It has been wonderfully relaxing and refreshing, and it's only Monday!

Thinking: I teach in a STEM school, and facilitate several Problem Based Learning units throughout the year. I'd like to tweak the units a bit and add pieces here and there... I will be teaching self-contained gifted again, and want to be sure I am challenging my students to use their higher-level thinking skills across all disciplines :-).

Wanting: We've had some rather blah weather in Ohio lately, and I would love for the sunshine to stick around - bring on the sandals and maxi skirts, please!

Needing: When we return from Spring Break, we'll be starting my favorite unit of the year. We are fortunate to have a wetland on campus, and take full advantage of it to teach Earth and Life science. Students will design and lead a field trip experience to the wetland for the other grade levels as a culminating activity, and I love watching this students take ownership of this experience!

  1. I hope you get that nice weather! I know that we had some nice weather as well and then it got cold again and then back to warm. I'm ready for the sun to stay for a long time! :-) Kristi Teaching Little Miracles
